Cosmetic Dentistry

Advances in materials and techniques over the past twenty five years have given cosmetic dentistry a great deal to work with, and there are now many ways to solve a cosmetic dental problem. If you do not like the shape of your teeth, their contours can be changed. If the color is too dark, we offer professional bleaching. Chips, cracks and fractures can be repaired with bonding, veneers can cover gaps, stains, poor shape or teeth that are out of alignment, and decay is repaired with tooth colored materials.

Cosmetic work here is done by a specialist. Mark L. Danbe, DMD is a specialist in prosthodontics, and K.B. Dental Laboratory is in the building, so Kerry Behr, CDT, MDT can work chair-side with the doctors on cosmetic cases to color match and shape crowns and veneers.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin permanent porcelain restoration used to close spaces and to correct discoloration or chipped front teeth. Very little enamel is removed for the procedure, which makes it a conservative and effective way to change how a tooth looks.

Tooth whitening

Tooth whitening, also called bleaching, brightens teeth that are discolored, stained, or have yellowed with age. We provide the most effective bleaching product on the market today: the KoR deep bleaching system, a combination of at home and in office bleaching that gives dramatic results.

Bonding

Bonding improves the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, cracked or stained, or that have spaces between them. Tooth colored material is attached, or bonded, to the tooth surface. It can improve stains from coffee, tea, tobacco or certain childhood medications, close front tooth spaces, and repair cracks and chips caused by accidents. Bonding is also used to protect exposed tooth roots that result from gum recession and to fill small cavities, and it usually lasts from three to five years.
